Geographical Indication of Kerala

Kerala is located along the southwest coast of India, and its capital is Thiruvananthapuram. A Geographical Indication (GI) is a sign used on goods that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin. They can be used for any type of product and make no distinction between manufactured, agricultural, food, or even handicrafts. Kerala is regarded as a treasure trove of unique GIs. Overall, India has 417 registered GIs, with Kerala owning 29 + 3(logo ) of them. GI tags are commonly found on agricultural items in Kerala.
